Ipad Hint for users experiencing difficulty opening programs.

After a little research on my own, I found a troubleshooting hint for those having difficulty with apps functioning properly. If you go to the app store and download a free app, and then try to reopen the app that you were having trouble with, the problem often resolves itself. Don’t ask me why, but this works in a lot of cases.

Also, if you have trouble with apps locking up, you can delete the app from you device, log into the app store from the device, and redownload it from the “purchased” menu. This will often resolve issues with loading or opening an app.

If either of these hints helps you, please comment so others will benefit from your experience.

Immediately after loading this program, I too had difficulty recording behaviors and customizing comments. I went to app support and read the advice labeled “IPad Hint For Users Experiencing Difficulty Opening Programs”. I followed the directions and am very pleased with the results. I am looking forward to using this program in the fall.

Thanks for posting this! I’m glad to hear this fix is working for people. If you get a chance, please leave it as a comment/review on the App store. I’m not sure how many people who have this issue take the time to check our website for the fix, but I think most people read the third party reviews. Thanks!

Behaviors crashed for me. Can’t enter any behaviors. I understand to delete and reload. All info is then lost. Any better advice?

      Phyllis,
I am trying to find an answer for you, but it may not be one you like. This summer, Apple has had some issues with delivering corrupted files from the App store. I am not saying that is the issue we are having, but it is a possibility. We have received several emails over the last several days about various issues that we have been unable to duplicate in testing. That leads me to believe it is a corrupted file. If that is the case, removing the app and reinstalling it would be your best bet for solving the problem. The other option is to hold off until we can get an update out in the next week or so. We are finding some small glitches, but nothing that should create the sort of problems you are having. However, downloading the update should give you an uncorrupted file while preserving your class information. I am forwarding these emails to my lead programmer to investigate. We are also looking into some options regarding file sharing that may allow you to upload your database to Itunes, reinstall the App, and then reload the database.

We are working diligently on this and hope to have a solution soon. I am sorry for your troubles and thank you for your patience.
Thank you for giving our product a chance! Please give us another opportunity to make this work for you.

I used Classroom Manager at the end of last school year & loved it. This year, I’m having difficulty setting up my classes. When I enter student contact information and hit save, it’s as if the new info “defaults” into every contact. Very frustrating. Please help!

    • Aaron says:

      Tina,
If you haven’t already loaded any classes, I would suggest deleting from your device and reinstalling. That seems to be solving most issues. I have another update coming out in about a week that will (hopefully) fix this for you. Thanks for your patience!

      Tina,
I have spoken with my programmer and he suggested that you check the values you are entering for the Student ID. If you have the same value entered multiple students the App may become confused. This is something we did not anticipate that will need to be fixed. Please let me know if this resolves the problem.
      Thanks!

Please explain “values. ” If. A value is Student ID number, each student is identified with an individual number. There are no duplicates. As I enter each student’s information, the new info automatically shows in every student’s field. I will try re-installing.

    • Aaron says:

      Tina,
The term “values” refers to the student ID number. It sounds as though that was not the issue. Did re-installing fix your issue?
      Thanks!

I love the app but… As soon as it was up dated I started having some problems. One is that I can’t leave any notes on the report page. I had previous notes but can’t add a new ones.
What do I do? I also have a lot of data put into the program and I’m afraid to lose data.

    Thanks,
    Lesley

      Lesley,
I am looking into this for you and will get back with you ASAP. Can you please clarify how you are attempting to add new notes and what happens when you do this. Thanks!

In the meantime, you may wish to shut the app down (hold the home key, press the “x”) and restart. This may help alleviate the issue.
I appreciate your patience in helping me debug this.
      Aaron
